BREAKING: Siargao Reopens: What you need to know.

Good news Philippines.


The Department of Tourism in its Facebook post recently announced the reopening of Siargao. Flights will once again fly to Sayak Airport starting December 1, 2020.


LIkewise, General Luna Surigao del Norte mayor Cecilia L. Ruson has announced its reopening through an executive order.



What are the requirements to enter Siargao?

  1. RT-PCR negative swab results taken within 48hours from point of origin.

  2. E-health pass of the Surigao local government. register here

  3. Confirmed 5 day booking with an accommodation that has Certificate of Authority to Operate (CAO)

  4. Roundtrip tickets


What if I have a swab test that is more than 48 hours from time of departure?


“If RT-PCR is taken more than 48 hours of departure from point of origin, a negative antigen swab will be required on the day of arrival,” the DOT said.


Are curfews in place?

Curfew will be implemented from 11pm to 4am. " With the opening of GL, we urge the public to remain cautious and guarded at all times. For now, non-essential gatherings that might draw huge crowd will not be allowed while we are still under the adjustment and assessment period. Continue to follow the basic health protocols by wearing face mask and face shield, physical distancing, hand sanitation, and the like. " the municipality of General Luna said on its Facebook post.
